HEALTH TESTING

All of our dogs and the dogs we breed to have passed all health tests recommended by our parent club, RHODESIAN RIDGEBACK CLUB OF THE UNITED STATES “RRCUS” , which include hips being good/excellent, and elbows, thyroid, eyes, and heart being normal. All of our dogs health results can be found under OFA website. (Orthopedic Foundation for Animals). On the RRCUS website you can find their code of ethics which includes all the health test requirements along with other important breeder requirements. In addition, our dogs are DNA tested for DM (degenerative myelopathy) , EOAD (early onset adult deafness), and other breed specific defects.

PUPPIES

All our breedings are with AKC champions that are health tested and who have sound temperaments. Even if you are only looking for a pet, you will be going home with a dog who is structurally correct, and has generations of healthy dogs behind their pedigree. Our puppies are dewormed, vet examined, and have first set of vaccinations before they go home. They will also be AKC registered at time of delivery. All our dogs are house dogs, we have no outside kennels. The puppies are raised in our house and will be well socialized by the time they go to their new homes. All pet puppies are sold with a spay/neuter contract. Show potentials are sold on a co-ownership contract which allows the dog to be shown by the owner or breeder.
